When I started scrapbooking in the early 1980s embellishments were whatever I could find and there was no such thing as acid & lignin free. My alphabet letters were often traced from a Fisher Price magnet set and then hand cut. As scrapbooking has evolved, so have my embellishments. Frustrated with color choice and sizes at the stores, I began creating my own. Soon friends were asking me to make them embellishments and within a few short years, Recycled Memories was born.
All of my products are acid & lignin free and will vary slightly in color and size as I use leftover or ‘recycled’ materials to create each piece. What do I mean by that? Whenever a piece of paper has been used to cut a larger piece or has been trimmed for a scrapbook page there is often a piece or two leftover. Typically these would be thrown away. I like to see them as a challenge to see what else can come from it.
This has also led to the creation of other items from recycled things. My tag line is "Turning one man's trash into another girl's treasure." There is always something new and exciting so check back often!
